Hello all! It's almost Friday! Yay! I've almost made it through my first full week. I have almost finished my plans for next week and can't wait to post the activities for you! I am also going to post the behavior plan we use because I think it is an awesome idea!
Miserable & lasted for about five minutes. I wore this outfit which I thought was super adorable... but, my scarf was thrown off before the kids even got there. I am usually thrilled when there is no AC because I'm a crazy freeze baby but, today I pretty much melted. I felt so bad for all our little Kindergarteners. :(
I am officially planning lessons as of now! Yay! I have been teaching her lessons but, now I get to plan my own, too. I also want to say, sorry I suck and my picture quality is terrible. I have been too lazy to go get my good camera. I promise I'll take a good one tomorrow :)
This week was technically three first days (the kids come on one day according to where their name falls in the alphabet). So, Monday will be the first day with ALL the kids. My host teacher is letting me teach a lot which is great! She gave me a great compliment today and said that I already had so much experience so why not just have me jump in? I was afraid of being dumbed down even though I have all my experience. I am soooo thankful she isn't doing that to me :)
Today was crazy!! I am EXHAUSTED and still have my conference call and my face-to-face meeting with my supervisor. Ugh! Why this all has to be planned for one day... I don't know. But, I'll make it through! My first day went great and the kids are awesome!
I got to help set-up the room today and get ready for the ice cream social. We are working to make name tags for everyone and make GIANT Boom-Chicka-Boom-Boom trees for outside. Each tree will have the grade number on them and that's where the teachers will be. I got really lucky with my host teacher. She is truly making me feel like I am part of the class and that she really wants my opinions :) Anyway, here is my outfit choice for the day:
T-shirt - Target
Cardigan - H&M (pretty sure this was a $5 find!)
Cami - Target
Jeans - American Eagle (my favorite skinny jeans in the world)
Flats - Macy's
Necklace - Banana Republic
Also, here are some pictures I took of my binder that I blogged about Tuesday!
Ahh! Student teaching starts tomorrow (sort-of). I offered to come in and help set-up the classroom and make parent folders. I hope this will help me get to know the room and supplies before the kids start on the 21st. I am excited and can't wait to meet the kids at the ice cream social this Sunday!
Here were my two outfit choices for my meeting with my host teacher today!
Shirt - Gap Outlet
Watch - Jewelmint.com
Pants - Target
Necklace (you can't really see it but, it's super cute) - Banana Republic
Hello All! I have decided that with my student teaching coming up this fall, I am going to start making the newsletters more general for all grades. Also, I am going to start making editable titles for the boxes. You might have also noticed that they are all now editable pdf files! Yay! Also, I am going to start posting my teaching outfits to share with all of you! Enjoy! (Feedback is always appreciated and again, I do make custom newsletters!)
